At New Hope, we like to ask the question of why.  Why do we organize summer for kids and youth?  Why do we invest in the Promise, and the Christmas Journey? The answer to all of these questions is simple: Because it helps fulfill our purpose as a local church.

This summer we have tons of opportunities to continue to fulfill our purpose as a body of Christ-followers.  All summer long, KidZone has camps that aim to bring kids (and their friends!) closer to God and the saving power of Christ.  Wildfire and HSM both have events that strive to both bring kids into a relationship with Christ, and bring kids further into that relationship.

For the 2nd year we will be cleaning up the West-Bay beach areas after the Cherry Festival fireworks (July 4 & July 9).  This is another opportunity to to be the “beautiful feet” (Romans 10:14-15) that brings the Gospel to our community.  The answer to ‘Why’ we do this is the same as anything we do at our church building: We desire to see the name of Jesus praised in the Grand Traverse Area.

Find a way to get involved with the ‘Why’ of New Hope’s summer.  Bring your neighbor kids to church, help clean up the beach, get your teens involved in the crazy Wildfire and HSM events. Be a part of the ‘Why’ New Hope strives to be and do things well this summer.
